Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
